Lazy Oaf

Lazy Oaf are an independent graphic and illustration clothing label which began on a stall in Spitalfields. It now sells through its shop in Soho and online. They do quirky, fun and cool all at the same time. This jacket could brighten up any dreary day in London I reckon. There blog is also a whole lot of fun.

Blog Recommendations Part I

I follow loads of blogs as some of you probably know. I thought I would let you know some of my favourites! The first one being Pugly Pixel. This one is great if you are an amateur photoshopper, a blogger, struggle with simple code or just want some nice inspiration for the look of your digital sites.
She explains things really well without being patronising and has lots of tips and tricks, plus free downloads of photoshop extras.

Holton Rower - Pours

Artist Holton Rower, creates psychedelic looking paintings by pouring different colours onto wood. In this case he has used Dior nail varnish bottles, placed onto the wood before pouring to create the flower shape. The last 5 colours he used to create the artwork where the latest new colours of Dior's new nail varnish range. An odd way to promote the stuff!

The "look at me coat"

Bright red coat, as worn by Kate Foley (a buyer at Opening Ceremony) image from Harper's Bazaar website. Love it. It would appear that Kate has a love of white lace, varsity jackets and parkas. See for yourself here.

Brighten up an old chair

From Rocket St George. This is the sort of thing I have on my creative things to do list. But probably never will. I would be satisfied if my attempt looked like one of these. Should you not want to do it yourself, you can buy them here.

Hieronymus Bosch

The below jumper, popped up on my tumblr dashboard. My Grandad used to have Hieronymus Bosch pictires on the bedroom wall where we used to stay as kids. The pictures used to freak us out and we would have nightmares about them.
Hieronymus Bosch

This is a digitally printed top from Swedish company alohafromdeer.com where you can get all sorts of classic paintings amongst other things printed onto clothing - including Hieronymus Bosch below

I have never found out which paintings of his they actually were on his wall, and to this day it has annoyed me. It could have also been Pieter Brueghel the Elder who was hugely influenced by Bosch. This one looks more like it. From my memory it had lots of peasant types and lots of fire. Answers on a postcard if you have any idea what I'm talking about!

Pieter Brueghel the Elder (Look familiar? it was the one used on a Fleet Foxes album)

6 Rue du Lac - Brussels

Another Art Nouveux house, I posted about one the studios on Talgarth Road, in London a while back.

This is one of those images you find on Pinterest and think, ooh where is that, and find no original link or anything. Which can be very annoying. However, when it comes to finding the origins of images on the internet, I am quite a good detective.

This house is positioned on Rue du Lac in Brussels and was designed by Ernest Delune (1859-1947), However that is as far as I got, no pictures of the interior or anything. Boooo.
