What a face!

This is the face of Mexican actress Delores Del Rio (1925–1978) whom I discovered on one of my favourite sites; Retro Vintage Photography. She was considered one of the most beautiful actresses of her time and was the first Latin American movie star to have international success. She started off in silent films and went on to the 'talkies' in the 30's. Yes that is what the first sound films were know as.

One thing leads to another

I went to see Summer Camp play at Efes Snooker club last week, they were really good and the atmosphere was lovely considering the location. All the way through they had film clips projected behind them from old musicals and american high school films mainly featuring dancing from the 80's.

The last one was a clip from the film Million Dollar Mermaid which bought back memories of watching this film as a child and thinking it was one of the most magical things I had ever seen!

I went on to discover this video of some sorta Echo and the Bunnymen remix type of thing featuring Esther Williams swimming around and looking beautiful...
