My new site - almost finished!

I haven't updated on here much recently, or checked out other blogs. I have been so busy trying to sort out my new website. So much so I have been getting face ache - yes really! Have you ever suffered from this?! I think I need to sort out my computer set up - get a new chair and some new glasses.

I have found freelancing causes me to spend more and more time at my computer, and as I'm working from home quite a lot more, I feel I have to get more work done in a shorter period of time and so concentrating a lot harder than I might if I were working for a company in house.

Here is a quick look at my soon to be finished site. I will be taking my blog over to that as well - so I hope you will all follow me over and show your support. I would appreciate any feedback once it's live as well.

I have just finished designing this website, it needs a few little tweaks but it's almost there.
Alice's music is now available to buy on itunes, amazon etc from here. Go buy it, I promise you will like it!

Jigsaw Advent Calendar

Have you had a look at the the Jigsaw Advent Calendar yet?

One of my freelance jobs at the moment is working with Jigsaw, and luckily for me it involved creating loads of animated gifs! Go check it out here. It was also turned into wrapping paper which you will find in stores around the country.

Scott Sternbergs Band of Outsiders

Found this via Lo's List Apparently the girls section is new, he introduced this range in Spring 2011. I really like all the simple colour blocking and the pretty throw on dress. There is an interesting way to shop on the site, most people are scared to do anything new with internet shopping for fear of putting people off. I think this works well though. Shop needs more stock though! Check it here.

Another lovely new fashion site

This time by Paper, a company specialising in beautiful luxury womenswear, not in my price range unfortunately as I'm always skint, but I can appreciate the clothes and website and the AW11 film is lovely and well worth a watch.

Monki, now available online!

Did I mention I work in fashion retail as a digital designer? Therefore I always keep my eye on the competition and this site is one of my favourites. Monki has all the collections beautifully laid out, alongside brilliant illustrations and animations. The clothes are cheap with lots of interesting on trend basics to chose from.

They also sent me inpisiring magazines in the post, but still you couldn't buy... until now!

The site doesn't seem as interactive as it was - but it still looks great, definitely worth a shop.

Chris Benz Rip Offs

Spotted these shoes in the write ups for SS10 collections which I fell in love with. They are a collaboration by Chris Benz (who also happens to have a rather beautiful website) and Alejandro Ingelmo. I absolutely loved the vintage 70’s style of them. A newsletter from Need Supply dropped into my inbox today with a lovely outfit and a hugely similar pair of shoes. 

Jeffrey Campbell are not shy about completely copying another designer are they?!
